What kinds of companies do you work with?
We have worked with all types and sizes of organizations, both high-tech and low-tech, including start-ups, multi-national conglomerates, non-profits, universities and government agencies. Having worked in so many different settings over the years, we’ve seen that the collaborative challenges that organizational leaders face aren’t that different across sectors. There are only so many ways that a board, an executive team or an organization don’t collaborate well.
Having said that, we have found that the challenges to collaboration can be more intense in teams or organizations employing many highly trained professionals, such as engineers, scientists, doctors, academics and others. These individuals often have clear ideas and strongly held opinions about how things could or should be done; effective collaboration doesn’t always come naturally to these professionals.
Working with these types of organizations and assisting these teams to achieve new levels of collaborative performance together is especially rewarding for us. For this reason, we have developed a focus in recent years on organizations in the health care, life sciences, and telecommunications sectors, although we welcome opportunities to work with clients in other industries as well.
The principles and practices of high-performance collaborative leadership that we bring work well in every organizational setting that we’ve encountered.
